Announcing a new meeting for The Laws of Abundance & Inner Awakening - Empowerment Group!
What: Zen Shiatsu (Interactive Workshop) When: Wednesday, May 21, 7:00 PM Meeting fee: CAD10.00 per person Where: Click the link below to find out! Meeting Description: Hello gang, I've lined up another great talk for us in late May. Please come out to this highly inspiring and hands-on workshop as we explore the science and art of Zen Shiatsu. Plan to wear comfortable clothing as well. Sincerely, Steve (Group Organizer) www.abetterworldtoday.com Zen Shiatsu Shiatsu literally means ?finger pressure?. It is a Japanese bodywork that combines acupressure, deep breathing, stretching and traditional Chinese medicine principles. It works to stimulate the flow of positive energy and the release of negative blockages. Zen style shiatsu emphasizes building a strong and intimate connection between the therapist and the patient. A safe and sacred space is created where the patient is free to follow their own healing process. Zen style shiatsu therapists are trained in meditation, tai chi and qi gong. They are trained to work with energy on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual planes. They believe it is clear intention that directs the flow of energy and act as conducts between the energy of heaven and the energy of earth. During the seminar, we will explore some of the basic theory, history and techniques behind this ancient practice. I will also demonstrate some of the techniques with volunteers from the audience. The seminar will take place at the zen dojo (training hall) located near Spadina & Dupont (near the Dupont subway station). Biography of Trainer: Satina Centelleghe Satina has studied and researched various forms of alternative and wholistic remedies throughout the years, particularly eastern medicine, herbalism and native plant medicine. She began studying zen shiatsu therap a number of years ago and has completed training as a zen shiatsu therapist (1100 hours). She has a licence with the City of Toronto as a Holistic Practitioner and is currently treasurer and board member of the Shiatsu Society of Ontario. Over the past few years, I have become increasingly fascinated and amazed by the power and simplicity of the zen shiatsu techniques and experiencing how it builds a stronger body and mind. I desire to pass this on to others who are inspired to empower their natural selves on a path of greater well-being and connection to their innate wisdom. More information can be found at: http://www.kokorodojo... Testimonial. I've had shiatsu treatments for the past 1 1/2 yrs on a regular basis (every week or 2 weeks). I work as a dental hygenist. Since having the treatments, I no longer take painkillers for back pain, carpel tunnel syndrome and neck pain. I do not experience daily stiffness. It has balanced my internal organs & how I feel on a daily basis as well as balancing my emotions. It does not require medication and acts as a prevention and balance. I highly recommend it.
