"Smart, interesting folks. Well-intentioned. "

"There is conflict of community ideal within some of the individuals who were in attendance. The energy does not flow between all those present. While we are all individual, your SACRED site will not allow this energy disruption upon its hallowed ground. "

About this Meetup

Help Build a Holistic Community

Clean Air
Lush Forests
Abundant Wildlife
Beautiful Mountain Views
Crystal Clear Streams and Lakes

WE HAVE A DREAM. A dream to create a holistic community in a very magical spot among the mountains of West Virginia. A dream where the members of the community have ownership and responsibility for the development and management of the community. If this dream appeals to you then please read on.

The Vision

The purpose for creating this community is to:

  • Preserve and enhance the land
  • Preserve and enhance people's mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being
  • Form a mutual beneficial relationship with the surrounding community

A 5 year plan

  • A community of stunning beauty among the mountains of West Virginia.
  • A conference center with its own organic restaurant, auditorium, meeting rooms, spa, sauna, exercise room and swimming pool. This will be available to all those wishing to hold retreats, seminars and workshops.
  • Two to three-acre home sites for individuals to own as permanent residences or for short-term rentals. Almost all will have mountain views or be next to a stream or lake.
  • Rental cabins with 1 or 2 bedrooms, living room, baths and some with kitchens. These cabins will be examples of ecological sound building techniques using various building materials, shapes and designs.
  • A rooming lodge.
  • Self-sustaining with its own organic farm and alternative energy sources.
  • Designed for beauty and environmental sustainability.
  • Special outdoor areas with sweat lodges, labyrinths, medicine wheels and more.
  • Incorporating the best ideas from other similar communities.
  • A remote campground with central restrooms and showers.
  • Keep most of the land in its natural undeveloped state for all to enjoy.

Holistic: emphasizing the importance of the whole and the interdependence of its parts.

How to Participate in This Vision
