The Santa Cruz Intentional Community Land Purchase Project

Hi! I'm interested in forming a community land purchase group. I was in one a couple years back and we almost got a great spot. Now, i'm ready to try again. Ideally, it would be a group of family friendly folks (i have a 6 yr old daughter) who'd like to start with a good land spot (i.e. has water and sun) and build yurts, use composting toilets, and a garden space. Starting rough and transforming slowly or adapting land that has existing structures/gardens. I need to be close to Santa Cruz (my daughter attends the Waldorf school on Empire Grade). I'm pretty much done working the 'slave job in Babylon' and would like to leverage the opportunities of a group to help free ourselves from the 40hr/wk job over the hill. I like the the community of others and the opportunities for sharing some resources. It seems like the world is getting pretty scary and it is harder to feel like there is time to be in community. I also notice that people are stressed out and far from the natural world. I've done some research into building straw bale, cob, earthship etc. etc.. I've got some 401k $$. With the right group and the right spot i can see it happening. Care to join me?
