We will be having a special meeting of the San Diego Intentional Communities Meetup group on Saturday, June 16 at 1:00pm. It will be a potluck gathering in Balboa Park, and we'll meet at the corner of 6th Avenue and the Prado (Laurel Street) on the west side of the park.

The purpose of the gathering--aside from enjoying the company of wonderful people, of course--is to advance the process of creating a community house, probably in the Hillcrest area, but possibly elsewhere. Some of us have expressed a desire to accelerate the process and make this dream a reality sooner rather than later. So, we want to bring together people of like mind to see if our visions and goals match, judge if we can live with each other (!), and start making some concrete plans. We hope this will appeal to you as well.

The plan looks like having lunch and informal socializing from approximately 1:00 to 2:00, and a slightly more formal "get-to-know-you and discuss our visions" session from approximately 2:00 to 4:00.

Please bring a yummy dish to share, your favorite park blanket or chair, your visions for community, and a willingness to be truly seen and understood. And please RSVP if you plan to come. The forecast is for sun!
